• Operating system and bootloader porting and maintenance

Sonos is looking for a Principal member of a growing team of highly talented software test engineers whose focus is validating the quality of the Sonos’ Multi Room Digital Music System. 

This will be a “player/coach” position responsible leading a small, dedicated group focused on interoperability, hardware, and system testing.  The primary objectives for this role are to develop a charter and test strategy for Sonos’ emerging “HW QA” team.  THIS IS NOT A TRADITIONAL HARDWARE TESTING ROLE.  Rather, this position is focused more on Real World Testing…something less formal than Design Verification Testing, but more formal than, say, Beta Testing.  This “HW QA” team will soon break off from our “Core Software/System Test” team and will inherit testing responsibilities that are both diverse and specialized.  Testing scope includes audio precision testing, system validation of second source & EoL components, memory management testing, CPU stress testing, and potentially wireless integrity testing.  The ideal candidate is someone who has a natural ability to find breakage points in both product and process, a strong SW/HW testing background, the ability to lead/manage a team of between 2-5 individual testers, and an appreciation for influencing quality on upstream development partners.  Other duties include mentoring testers with test case/script creation, evaluating tools and process, creating test coverage plans and schedules, and coordinating defect resolution across various components. Additionally, this role is responsible for developing and presenting test progress reports, capturing internal and external metrics, and owning the characterization of product/program risk.

Responsibilities include:

• Establish, maintain and manage relationships with all key suppliers and contract manufacturers at executive level (founders, presidents, VPs)

Must have:

The ideal candidate will delight in finding new and creative ways to break the product, and must have a keen empathy for the end-user. They will be responsible for interpreting specifications, creating test procedures, executing test cases, reporting defects, validating fixes, maintaining test documentation, and articulating risk. Sonos products use a wireless mesh network technology built on IEEE 802.11n called SonosNet.  SonosNet automatically calculates the best path for audio data to reach any part of a large home, taking advantage of wired and wireless links to forward data from one place to another with as little delay and interference as possible.

As a software engineer on the wireless networking team, you will be responsible for enhancing and maintaining the industry’s most innovative networking solution for streaming audio around the home.  Specifically, you will:

• Use your knowledge of the C programming language, Linux kernel mode development, and network device drivers, to add support to Sonos products for the latest, highest performing wireless networking hardware
• Use your understanding of IEEE 802.11, Ethernet, and network organization and routing algorithms, to improve the performance of SonosNet, and scale its mesh networking algorithms to larger and more complex networks
• Build relationships with networking hardware vendors, to understand their roadmaps, help select the right hardware, and debug critical problems

General Summary:

The Customer Service Manager is responsible for managing all facets of the Technical Support team as well as the Sales Operations team in EMEA. Manager will provide tactical and strategic leadership and direction for the delivery of post-sales services and support to clients/customers. The primary responsibility of the Customer Service Manager is to manage all facets of customer retention, interaction, and customer satisfaction. The right candidate will have experience and passion in a customer facing environment and technical support environment. 

Your main duties and responsibilities:

• Responsible for managing day to day issues and all facets of the EMEA Technical Support group and Sales Operations (SOPS) functions.
• Work closely with AMPAC Customer Service Manager to ensure all Tier 1 and SOPS process and procedures are well aligned between each team and that defined organizational goals and objectives are met.
• Work closely with WW Tier 2 Manager to ensure adherence to escalation procedures and information flow from Tier 1 to Tier 2.
• Maintain concise and relevant metrics that illustrate team performance. Adjust internal procedures as required to maintain defined levels of performance.
• Analyze and document, procedural “opportunities” within the team. Ensure content resources are well maintained.
• Proactively review customer inquiries for completeness and accuracy.
• Ensure customer satisfaction (NPS goals) through end-to-end management of each service request. Ensure follow-up with the customer until issue is resolved.
• Build the systems and reporting infrastructure necessary to monitor the quality, cost, and efficiency of the transportation, storage, and distribution of Sonos’ inventory.
• Analyze KPIs to monitor performance and plan improvements.
• Apply industry best practices throughout the distribution chain to lower costs.
• Manage commercial relationships and assessment criteria for outsourced logistics processes and partners.
• Provide best-of-breed support for all Sonos B2B and B2C customer logistics transactions worldwide.
• Demonstrate a working knowledge of the following: Incoterms; import and export processes and regional Customs and regulatory processing in EMEA; e.g HTS Product Classification, customs valuation, WEE.
• Manage outsourced fulfillment and distribution operations in EMEA with multiple SKUs and high inventory turnover.
• Establish and analyze KPIs to monitor performance and plan improvements.
• Manage the distribution of inventory to minimize carrying costs.
• Establish and manage commercial relationships and assessment criteria for outsourced fulfillment processes and partners.
• Demonstrate a working knowledge of the following: outsourced fulfillment, Vendor Managed Inventory, Direct-from-Manufacturer Distribution.
• Manage and monitor the processing of orders and returns in multiple geographic regions in coordination with Finance and Sales.
• Work with the ITS and Finance teams to improve and enhance the order processing systems.
• Demonstrate a working knowledge of common B2B and B2C e-commerce techniques: online shopping carts, EDI, fraud management, electronic payment processing.
• Provide best-of-breed order and returns support for B2B and B2C customers worldwide.
• Work with external vendors to ensure SLA’s are met.
• Provide feedback and make recommendations to management on process improvements, technology, training requirements, etc. that will improve customer satisfaction or reduce cost of support.
• Demonstrate customer relations skills and maintain a positive company image during all interactions with the customer.

• A minimum of 7 years experience in providing Management of a Technical Support organization, including help desk and/or customer call center or logistics environment; previous experience in a hi-tech environment, ideally B2C and B2B businesses.

Sonos is looking to find an exceptional Marketing Programs Manager with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, while working with internal departments to ensure consistency and quality across all programs. The candidate must have the ability to develop, coordinate and execute go-to-market plans and deliver programs that support revenue goals. You will assist team members in creating, presenting and executing launch plans and priorities; extend marketing expertise to cross-departmental teams; monitor and report on success metrics; work closely with internal and external creative resources to execute launch strategies and ensure brand standards.

Responsibilities:

• Primary responsibility will be to manage all activities associated with product launches and product transitions
• Develop detailed launch plans for key products and work alongside product management to execute these plans
