Job Description:

We are currently seeking a goal-oriented inside sales account executive to sell our discounts and promotions products to restaurants and other small business owners throughout the US. This position is with our fast-paced centralized sales team in Troy, MI.

The right candidate will have relevant sales experience, in a quota driven environment, selling advertising to local business verticals. They will interface with small business owners, or their marketing teams, to position our products as a way to profitably grow their consumer traffic. The position requires high energy and the ability to generate new business via high volume prospecting and cold calling.

Your success will help drive Entertainment’s success as well as generate new consumers for small businesses, while providing consumers with savings on things they do every day!

Our position offers both an attractive base salary as well as a strong performance-based incentive program.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Aggressively drive advertising sales cycle for key, high-impact accounts within the territory and the area. Solicit and acquire signed agreements and appropriate paperwork, following local and national signing guidelines, from restaurants and merchants for promotional appearance in EPI's print and online products.
  • Demonstrate expertise in the full portfolio of products and functions; demonstrate firm understanding of financial elements of all programs including return on investment.
  • Support the development and introduction of new products and programs. Utilize web and PC tools to demonstrate and present offerings.
  • Ensure all required client paperwork is complete, accurate, and submitted on time. Periodic audits of client orders/paperwork will be performed. Enforce merchant contractual obligations. Provide timely and accurate reports on results as required by management.
  • Retain, develop, and service all assigned merchant accounts through product orientations, financial analysis, and resolution of merchant issues.
  • Continually formulate, update, and maintain area merchant listings for the purpose of generating sales.
  • Foster, promote, and contribute to a positive team environment throughout the company. Display flexibility and adaptability when assigned additional responsibilities or projects. Willingly support other team members as required.


Experience and Skills:
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of successful inside (phone based) sales experience in paid advertising or promotional sales.
  • BA/BS or equivalent experience preferred. An emphasis on sales and/or marketing is preferred.
  • Experience utilizing e-mail and Internet functionality for work and the ability to give presentations and demonstrate product via these mediums.
  • Advanced experience with MS PowerPoint, MS Word and MS Excel.
  • Ability to travel a minimum of 20%. Various means of travel will be required, including travel by air.
  • Demonstrated ability to prospect new accounts, conduct multi-media presentations, negotiate deals, close sales, and meet established quotas.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal, presentation, and public speaking skills.
  • Demonstrated analytical, quantitative, problem solving skills.
  • Ability to work extended hours.
